Moses Morales’ journey as an artist began at a young age on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he developed a deep connection to culture, history, and storytelling through visual expression. As a young artist, Moses painted, created, and sold his artwork throughout the island, building a creative practice rooted in observation, emotion, and the unique identity of Caribbean life.

His work gained recognition through powerful collections exploring the history and cultural narratives of the Virgin Islands, including his series focused on the legacy of slavery in the sugar cane fields and the vibrant traditions of Carnival in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Through these works, Moses explored themes of resilience, heritage, celebration, and the stories that shape a community’s identity.

Driven to expand his creative expression, Moses continued his education at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts. His studies allowed him to explore a diverse range of disciplines, including oil painting, metal sculpture, and filmmaking — developing a multidisciplinary approach that expanded his ability to communicate ideas through different mediums.

Following his formal education, Moses continued developing his artistic voice while exhibiting and sharing his work across different creative communities. His artwork has been showcased throughout South Florida, California, and Chicago, connecting with diverse audiences and participating in the evolving conversations surrounding contemporary art, culture, and visual storytelling.

In his most recent work, Moses has explored the possibilities of mixed media, creating pieces that move beyond traditional painting and invite a more immersive experience. By combining materials, textures, sculptural elements, and layered visual narratives, his work challenges the boundaries between painting and physical space, transforming the canvas into a multidimensional exploration of form, history, and emotion.

His background also includes working on European and exotic automobiles, where attention to detail, technical accuracy, and uncompromising standards are essential. Those experiences shaped an eye for craftsmanship that carries into every project.
